July 1990 – United States Government - White House Communications Agency

Scope – Develop Quick Deployment Method for deployment of Secure Fiber Optic Network to provide Executive Branch with broad communications needs diverse and sustainable network communications over secure facilities on an as needed basis.

 

October 1990 through October 1991– Sr. Project Engineer SEFOC (University of Utah)

Scope – Engineer Campus Fiber Optic Network to provide service connection to MAE-WEST firmly establishing the University of Utah as the Major Inter-Mountain West University system as the leader in Research and Development with the inclusion of the Huntsman Cancer Center, Moran Eye Institute, Howard Hughes Genetics Institute, and eventually becoming the host of the 2002 International Winter Olympic Games.  Engineered Network originally supported single and multi-mode fiber distribution to five routed hubs connected by FDDI which connected to eighty-one buildings through 10/100Mbps Ethernet, 4/16Mbps Token Ring and AppleTalk Networks serving over Thirty Thousand Students and over Nine Thousand Staff and Faculty.

 

June 1994 through – March 1999 – Sr. Network Planning Engineer, Salt Lake Organizing Committee.

Scope – Senior Planning Engineer determining the needs of multifaceted organizations to support SLOC in development of bid to International Olympic Committee.  Upon award of 2002 Winter Olympics developed infrastructure to support Olympic Athlete’s Housing and Village at the University of Utah/Fort Douglas, Rice Stadium, and direct communications to the Salt Palace Convention Center for Media Services.  Infrastructure included fiber optics and network support equipment to provide basic network communication supporting dispersed wireless networks to high speed SONET based networks for telecommunications systems.

 

April 2004 through – March 2006 – Design Engineer SBC/AT&T – Sr. Network Engineer for Bank of America, National Deployment of Converged Data and Voice Business Systems

Scope – Senior Design Engineer supporting EDS in the design of converged voice/data network of over 5,800 branches, 300 Business Centers and six separate data centers.  Engineering included cabling systems/fiber systems, network hardware, end-user equipment, and telecommunications MPLS network.

 

May 2013 through – Present – Principal Engineer Chelan County Public Utility District, Fiber & Telecommunications Department

Scope – Design and Project Implementation of five million dollar plus upgrade to existing BPON Network.  Project required diverse operational programming measures to meet an accelerated deployment schedule to provide efficiency for crews while allowing for customer upgrades.  Care was also required to provide businesses with opportune time to schedule accordingly.  Project is currently proceeding ahead of schedule and is forecasted to come in at approximately ten percent under budget.
